Evaluation Period

 

MysticThumbs has a 14 day trial evaluation period. During this time the license dialog will look like this and show you on what date the evaluation expires.

 

 

License - Shows you the application is running in evaluation mode.

Licensed to - Shows the date when the evaluation period expires. You can continue to evaluate the application until this date at which time it will cease to function fully and generate evaluation thumbnails.

Hardware ID: this shows you your unique ID that is used to register your license against.

 

 Change license key - This will open the register license key dialog as seen below. Requires an active internet connection.

 

 I lost my license key - Use this to go to the license key retrieval page on the internet. You will need to know your order number or email that you used to register, and your license key will be sent to your email address.

 

 - opens your internet browser to the main page where you can choose the appropriate license and proceed to checkout.

 


 

Registered and in Evaluation Period

 

 

License - Shows you the license showing how many seats are available.

Licensed to - Shows the Business name or person who owns the license.

Support expires - this shows you the date that your license maintenance expires. You can continue to use the program however new versions beyond that date will not work without renewal.

 

 Change license key - This will open the register license key dialog as seen below. Requires an active internet connection.

 

 Remove license key - Removes the current license key from this Hardware ID so it can be used on another machine. Requires an active internet connection. This is the preferred method to float licenses between machines / users.

 

 Register Refresh - This will refresh your product key online and renew it if you have renewed your license. This is only visible if you have used a product key to register the application.

 


 

Evaluation Expired

 

When your evaluation period has expired you will see this window.

 

 

Evaluation - Shows that the application is running in evaluation mode.

 Change license key - This will open the register license key dialog as seen below. Requires an active internet connection.

Your options are to either purchase a license by clicking the evaluation text hyperlink or uninstall MysticThumbs.

 


 

Registered beyond maintenance period

 

If you have a valid license but the maintenance period has expired, and you are using a version built before your maintenance expired you will see this dialog.

 

 

Support and maintenance for a license lasts one year. You can use all versions released up until that time. If you want to install newer versions after support ends you have to renew your license.

Registered with valid license key using unsupported build

 

If you have a valid license key installed but have installed a new version that is not covered by your maintenance period you will see this dialog.

 

 

License - Shows you the license showing how many seats are available.

Support expired - if the license support period of one year has expired you will see when it expired. You can use this date to determine which builds your license covers and download and install an appropriate build or renew your license.

 

 Change license key - Enter another license key. Opens the register license key dialog as seen below. Requires an active internet connection.

 

 Remove license key - Removes the current license key from this Hardware ID so it can be used on another machine. Requires an active internet connection. This is the preferred method to float licenses between machines / users.

 Register Refresh - This will refresh your product key online and renew it if you have renewed your license. This is only visible if you have used a product key to register the application. If your license has been renewed then this action will reload your license and refresh the license activation state.

 

 - If your license maintenance has expired use this button to go to the online license renewal web page.

 

If you click on the hyperlink text explaining that your build is unsupported you will be taken to the online version history page and build for the most recent build supported for your license.

You can download the older version and install that version if required.

 You may need to uninstall the current version first. You do not have to remove your license key during this process.

 


 

Entering your license key

 

When you receive your license key (thank you for purchasing!) you can enter it here by selecting "Change License Key". This will take you to the enter license key dialog and you can simply copy and paste your key from your purchase receipt email to register.

 

 

Any firewalls must allow MysticThumbs to communicate with mysticcoder.net on port 443 to register your license key. Each seat is hardware locked to a machine and must be removed from that machine before being used an another.

 

If you upgrade your computer be sure to remove your license key from this machine first or it will not register on another machine. If for some reason you have trouble registering your license this value can be used to aid in support.

 


 

Renewing your license key

 

When your license support runs out a Renew button will be shown. Select this to go to the website to renew your license for another year.

 

Renewal is 50% price for the amount of seats the license currently holds.

 - Purchases another year of support and software maintenance updates.

 

The renewal website will show you your current license status and direct you to the purchase site online where you will be prompted to enter your details to complete the purchase.

 - You can purchase additional seats to add to your license.

 

License support helps to ensure continued development, improvements and additional features!
