I have messed up my settings and want to restore the defaults
If you have found that things are not working as you expect, or you want to restore all settings back to default there is a simple solution.
- Open the control panel
- Press and hold the [Ctrl] key. The undo button (next to apply bottom right) will change to a red arrow, load defaults button
- Whilst holding the [Ctrl] key press the red arrow load defaults button
- Apply the changes
Note that all settings are restored to their default values, including disabling some file types that are not enabled by default.
- Optionally clear the thumbnail cache if the changes are going to affect visual changes.
